Our Purpose
We are a group of local full-time and seasonal residents who seek to help Woodstock maintain its character and energy. Determined to support the development of a vibrant local economy serving both residents and visitors, we are prepared to invest our capital to purchase or finance local retail businesses, renovate buildings to maintain their integrity and revitalize the downtown area, and renovate or build new housing to help grow the population and provide adequate housing for those who live and work in Woodstock.
Our Investment Philosophy
Our investment philosophy is simple: we're looking to earn a profit on our investments, but we're prepared to accept lower returns than arms-length investors who have no stake in our community. And we're prepared to stick it out for the long term to realize the potential from the investments we make.
Our Partners
Woodstock Community Development Partners operates as a coalition of investors. While we make each investment available to the entire group, investors may choose to invest in only some of our transactions. While there is no a priori minimum required investment - each transaction is different - we are generally seeking to add to our group those who have the interest and ability to invest $25,000 or more, depending on the opportunity.
